Bad News for Gold Bugs? IMF to Sell Nearly 200 Tons
Gold futures came under further pressure Thursday after the International Monetary Fund said it would put 191.3 metric tons of gold on the market, fulfilling a pledge it made in September to sell 403.3 tons of gold. The other 212 tons were purchased last fall by three national banks.
